About this guide
Austin Drywall Guide is an independent guide to drywall in the Austin area.
What it is
This site explains drywall to homeowners: the board, the finish levels, cracks and holes, water damage, permits, older houses and hiring. It covers Austin and four nearby cities, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown and Cedar Park, where permit offices and housing differ. It is written for people deciding what to ask, not for people looking for a quote.
The directory
It is an independent publication and is not run by a drywall contractor. The directory lists drywall contractors in and around Austin from public listings, in alphabetical order.
How the guides are sourced
Each page lists its sources at the bottom. The guides lean on public pages: the City of Austin's Development Services pages, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the National Weather Service, the Census Bureau's American Community Survey and city pages for the nearby suburbs. Where sources disagree, or the only source is a company that sells repairs, the page says so and avoids the statistic. Pages show the date they were last checked: October 17, 2026.
Limits
Permit rules, fees and office hours change. Census figures are estimates with margins of error. Nothing here is legal, engineering or building advice, and this site cannot diagnose a foundation or a wall. Confirm details with the city and with a qualified professional.
Corrections and removal requests
If something is wrong, or if you are a listed business that wants a listing updated or removed, email contact@zavaletasdrywall.com with the page and the change. Corrections are made when they can be checked against a public source.
